Alabama Ballet presents a mixed-repertoire performance of two iconic pieces by the legendary American choreographer Twyla Tharp. “Baker’s Dozen” embodies this sense of economy and integration, which is closely tied to Tharp’s Indiana Quaker roots. The movement expresses harmony, playfulness and easy virtuosity. “Nine Sinatra Songs” presents a glamorous portrait of seven couples that traces the arc of romantic relationships. The dancers swing, swirl, tango and cha-cha through a glittering ballroom.
Essential Church School is organizing group admissions for the homeschool community. If you prefer to secure your own individual tickets, you can contact the Alabama Ballet directly.
The school performance is for ages 5 and up. Young children should not attend.
