Join us for BHC’s GEOGRAPHY FAIR! Students may choose any country outside of the United States. LOCATION: Hoover Public Library Fitzgerald and Shakespeare Rooms
- Students may create a digital presentation or tri-fold board. They should be prepared to speak about their country while standing in front of their board or at the computer. This is a low-key way to practice public speaking skills.
- In addition, students may dress in traditional dress, bring a treat to share, show a traditional dance, play music from that country, etc. This is an opportunity for them to be creative!
- Any age may participate.
- Students may focus on cultural or physical geography or both.
- Multiple students may work together on a single project.
- All presentations must be in English and the student should be prepared to answer age-specific questions about their project during the open time where other students and parents can come see their project.
- Tri-fold, stand alone cardboard display boards can be found at Hobby Lobby for around $3.
- Projects should not need to be plugged in or require other resources, and they must not make a mess.
- Presentations should be no longer than 5 minutes each.
- Please register by November 20 so we can have a final number to prepare for appropriate space for everyone’s projects.
- On fair day, please be there at 2:00 to get set up.
