Geography Fair

Join us for BHC’s GEOGRAPHY FAIR!  Students may choose any country outside of the United States. LOCATION: Hoover Public Library Fitzgerald and Shakespeare Rooms

• Students may create a digital presentation or tri-fold board. They should be prepared to speak about their country while standing in front of their board or at the computer. This is a low-key way to practice public speaking skills.
• In addition, students may dress in traditional dress, bring a treat to share, show a traditional dance, play music from that country, etc. This is an opportunity for them to be creative!
• Any age may participate.
• Students may focus on cultural or physical geography or both.
• Multiple students may work together on a single project.
• All presentations must be in English and the student should be prepared to answer age-specific questions about their project during the open time where other students and parents can come see their project.
• Tri-fold, stand alone cardboard display boards can be found at Hobby Lobby for around $3.
• Projects should not need to be plugged in or require other resources, and they must not make a mess.
• Presentations should be no longer than 5 minutes each.
• Please register by November 20 so we can have a final number to prepare for appropriate space for everyone’s projects.
• On fair day, please be there at 2:00 to get set up.
